Lidingöbanan (the Lidingö Line 21)

Lidingöbanan (the Lidingö Line 21) goes between Ropsten and Gåshaga and has been part of the Stockholm Local Traffic System since 1972. There is a connection to the Stockholm Metro Line T13 at Ropsten.

Lidingöbanan facts

  • First came into service 1914 as a rail line for Rail Goods Traffic
  • Part of the Stockholm Local Traffic System since 1972
  • There are 9.2 km of track.
  • Has become a permanent part of the Stockholm Local Traffic System
  • Totally overhauled for Passenger only traffic in 2015.
  • There are 13 stations and many look really quaint.
