Stockholm's Rail Network comprises of four main lines with a total of 53 stations. These trains are called Pendeltåg, and go above ground to destinations farthest out in the Greater Stockholm Region where the Stockholm Metro System does not reach.
During the rush hour periods there are 14 trains per hour, but at other times there are only 4 trains per hour so many experience frustration if it is wintertime and the trains are delayed. It's worth noting that these stations all have indoor sections with heating, but wear warm clothes in the winter anyway.
From Uppsala, the next northerly city from Stockholm, and Bålsta, a suburb on the northerly outskirts of the Greater Stockholm Region, all the way down to Nynäshamn and Gnesta, the rail link is used by around 80 million passengers each year.
